Al-Imam Shaafie rahimahullah :said :

*ما جادلت عالما إلا غلبته ، وما جادلت جاهلا إلا غلبني*

“I have never debated with a knowledgeable person, except that I won the debate, and I have never debated with an ignorant person, except that I lost.”
